The Somalia Immigration and Citizenship Agency has intercepted an attempt to smuggle a Somali minor to Libya after officers detected irregularities in her travel documents.
Authorities said the girl, who had been brought from Las Anod, was preparing to depart with individuals suspected of human smuggling. The attempt to secure fraudulent travel clearance was blocked before she could leave the country.
The case has been referred to the Criminal Investigation Department for investigation.
