Taawun Trust Organization has announced its 2026 intake for technical and ICT training at Ta’awun College in Kibra, expanding opportunities for youth and community members to gain practical, market-ready skills.

The institution, located at Makina Riadha Mosque, offers diploma programmes running between two and three years, as well as craft certificate and short professional courses tailored to current labour market demands. Chairman Yahya Dafala said key areas of training include computer packages, web programming, graphic design and development, plumbing, electrical engineering, tailoring, driving, water engineering, fashion and dressmaking.

ICT remains a major focus, with courses covering computer applications, programming, networking, cyber operations, databases and web development. Short-term programmes run from one to six months, allowing flexible entry into employment or self-employment.

In partnership with Angels Welfare and Education Trust, the college also offers courses in plumbing, electrical engineering, tailoring, make-up artistry, heena design and driving school. Training centres are located in Kibra, Dandora, Majengo, Donholm, Huruma and Kilifi Mtondia.

Beyond education, the Trust runs seasonal community support initiatives including Iftar programmes, Udhhiya, Eid clothes distribution, school shoes support, a food bank and outreach to street children, as part of its mission to empower vulnerable families and strengthen economic resilience.
